Hill Honored Again

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin first baseman Steven Hill added to an already impressive pile of honors this week when he was announced as a first-team selection to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-South Central Region squad.
The senior from Houston, Texas, enjoyed a stellar 2007 campaign as he led the Lumberjacks to their first-ever appearance in the Southland Conference Tournament. He hit .385 with 73 RBI and finished third in the nation with 24 home runs. The strong showing has led to a host of post-season awards.
Hill was named the SLC Player of the Year and Hitter of the Year, in addition to nabbing a spot on the All-SLC First Team. Following the conclusion of the SLC Tournament, he was made a first-team choice on the Louisville Slugger All-America squad. Last week, Hill was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
