SFA Records Two Top-10 Finishes Saturday

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team closed out the 2007 NCAA Midwest Regional Championships Saturday evening with two top-10 performances. Junior Wade Whittington just missed a school record in the javelin when he recorded a throw of 208-5 to finish sixth overall. The 2007 SLC outdoor shot put champion, Kenneth McKinley, wrapped up his career Saturday with a seventh-place finish in the event. McKinely recorded a throw of 56-1.25.
Junior Kristina Windham represented the Ladyjacks in the pole vault. Windham cleared a height of 12-0.00 to finish 12th overall.
The Lumberjacks also had Josh Cruse competing in the triple jump, and junior Justin Reyes and senior Ryder Peacock competing in the high jump.
