NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin athletics department has cut back the cost of basketball tickets during the Christmas season announced SFA Director of Athletics Robert Hill. The special rates will begin Monday, Dec. 17, and continue through Saturday, Jan. 5.
Adult tickets, which were originally $7, have been reduced to $4, while children's admission is now $2. The Ladyjacks return to action Monday when they host No. 14 Auburn. The game against the Tigers is slated to begin at 7 p.m. SFA returns to the court three nights later to face Prairie View A&M. The Lumberjacks return home Friday, Dec. 21, to host Huston-Tillotson, and then return to the court Saturday, Jan. 5, to take on Wiley College.
The Lumberjacks are 7-1, and have jumped into the mid-major top 25 poll after defeating Oklahoma, 66-62, last week in Norman. The Ladyjacks enter Monday's game against Auburn with a 3-5 overall record. SFA has won its past two games, and is coming off a three-point overtime victory at Missouri to take the 2007 CenturyTel Tiger Classic.
