
Ladyjacks Defeat SEMO, 3-0

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks defeated the Southeast Missouri Redhawks in three straight games Saturday afternoon at the Arkansas Invitational in Barnhill Arena. The win gives SFA an overall record of 4-2 on the season, while SEMO remains winless at 0-4.
The Ladyjacks sailed to a 30-17 Game 1 win and took the next two by closer scores of 30-24 and 30-26.
Junior Traci Rohde once again led both teams in kills with 16 for a hitting percentage of .560, her highest this season. Rohde joined senior Laura Cramer and sophomores Shelly Swendig and Lauren Railey with double-digit kills. Cramer and Swendig each posted 11 while Railey pitched in with 10.
Senior Stephanie Figgers had 26 digs and was named to the all-tournament team.
The Ladyjacks will return to Nacogdoches to open their home season Friday when they face Tennessee State at 2:30 p.m. from William R. Johnson Coliseum in the Austin Bank Ladyjack Invitational. SFA will also face Baylor at 7:30 p.m. that same evening. Houston and Arkansas State will also be participating in the tournament.
