
Lumberjacks Sixth at Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack cross country's "B" team finished sixth of 13 teams at the Texas A&M Invitational Saturday. Gerardo Moreno led the way with his 25th-plac finish, as the Lumberjacks finished just ahead of Southland Conference foe Texas-Arlington and just 22 points behind Texas State.
Moreno finished the 8,000-meter course in 26:56. Aaron Hohn was close behind with a 27th-place time of 27:02. Robert Smith (27:22) took 33rd, Edy Vargas (28:05) finished 49th, Conor Gillen (28:50) came across 65th, and Mark Acosta rounded out the SFA runners, finishing 76th with a time of 29:47.
SFA will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 30 for the Auburn Invitational in Auburn, Ala.
