
Ladyjack Volleyball Defeats Southeastern La., 3-0

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks topped Southeastern Louisiana, 3-0, Saturday afternoon from William R. Johnson Coliseum to win their 14th straight match this season. SFA extended its season record to 18-3 and is now a perfect 7-0 in Southland Conference play. The Lions fell to 4-17 on the year and remain winless in league action, 0-7.
SFA eased to a Game 1 30-12 win before Southeastern began to battle back a bit. The Ladyjacks won Game 2, 30-19, and finished the sweep, 30-24.
Junior Traci Rohde knocked down 20 kills and hit over .500 for the second straight match with a .516 hitting percentage. She also had five total blocks in the match. Sophomore Ashley Edwards posted a new career high with seven total blocks.
Three Ladyjacks posted double-digit digs with Stephanie Figgers leading the pack with 17. Jami Hill had 14 and Lauren Railey had 12.
SFA will continue play next weekend when it travels to McNeese State in a 7 p.m. match in Lake Charles, La., on Friday before playing Lamar at 7:30 p.m. in Beaumont, Texas.
