
Ladyjacks Top Lamar

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team kept its win streak alive Friday night dispensing of eighth-seeded Lamar, 3-0 (30-16, 30-14, 30-14) in the first round of the Southland Conference tournament. The victory improves SFA to 28-2 on the season.
The Ladyjacks' were led by junior Laura Cramer who knocked down a team-high 14 kills, to go along with 10 digs. Freshman Lauren Railey also recorded a double-double for SFA as she posted 12 kills (.523 attack percentage) and 12 digs. Two-time SLC Libero of the Year, Stephanie Figgers, led the way defensively for the SFA recording 15 digs.
It wasn't just the SFA offense that was getting the job done against Lamar. Although SFA hit .436 for the night, the Ladyjacks held Lamar to a -.033 hitting percentage.
SFA will face fourth-seeded Texas State Saturday in the SLC semifinals. The match is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m., from Texas Hall in Arlington, Texas.
