Monteau Earns SLC Honor

PLANO, Texas - Southland Conference officials announced Tuesday that Stephen F. Austin junior Ashley Monteau has been named Aeropostale Southland Conference Cross Country Female Athlete of the Week. This marks Monteau's second selection.
Monteau earned the honor by winning the individual title at the Northwestern State Invitational Monday. It was her second consecutive individual crown and helped lead the Ladyjacks to a first-place team finish. Monteau completed the 6,000-meter course in 21:36.75.
The Ladyjack cross country team will be back in action on Oct. 15 for the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
