SFA Tennis Opens Fall Schedule

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team opened the fall season this past weekend at a tournament at Sam Houston State in Hunstville. All together, the Ladyjacks compiled seven singles wins and three doubles victories at the tournament.
Lauren Nowicki went 2-1, defeating Katherine Barto of Texas-Pan American, 6-2 and 6-1, in the first place round. After falling to Chrissie Cooper of Tarleton State in the second round, Nowicki rebounded against Lana Burton of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 6-2, 6-2, in the third place match.
In doubles, Megan Langston and Kama Scott went 2-1 for a third place finish.
The Ladyjacks will be returning to Huntsville for the Sam Houston Super Dual on Thursday, October 13.
