Blake Gordon Earns Academic Honor

NACOGDOCHES - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack thrower Blake Gordon (Gladewater, Texas) was named to the 2004 United States Track Coaches Association All-Academic Team announced USTCA officials late Monday afternoon. It is the second consecutive season that Gordon has received the award. The award recognizes those student-athletes that excel both in competition as well as in the classroom. The student-athletes were required to maintain a 3.0 grade-point average. Gordon was a two-time All-Southland Conference selection during the 2004 outdoor season helping guide the Ladyjacks to a Southland Conference runner-up finish. Gordon finished her career as a three-time SLC individual champion and an eight-time All-SLC honoree. -SFA-
