
Lumberjack Records Olympic Trial Provisional Mark

NACOGDOCHES - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack track and field athlete DeVaughn Rettig (Henderson, Texas) recorded a Standard B mark of 52-6.75 in the triple jump at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships last week in San Marcos. Rettig's jump places him on the provisional list for the US Olympic Trials, which will be July 7th - July 18th in Sacramento, Calif.
The US Olympic Trials will consist of 24 athletes. Rettig is currently tied for 21st in the nation. Rettig returns to action this Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Regional Championships in College Station.
