NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team closed out the 2004 spring season Tuesday at home against Louisiana Tech. The Lady Techsters defeated SFA, 6-1. The Ladyjacks finish the 2004 season with a 6-12 (.333) overall record.
Louisiana Tech swept all doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead, but SFA fought right back to tie the match at 1 when junior Melissa Bass defeated the Lady Techsters' April Martinez, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 5 singles. Louisiana Tech won the next five singles matches to hold on for the victory.
