
Pabani Named SLC Offensive Player of the Week

PLANO, Texas - Sophomore Shahin Pabani was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday afternoon. It is the sixth honor of the season for SFA and the first of the year for Pabani.
Pabani led SFA to a 4-2 victory over McNeese State Friday with her three-goal effort, including the game-winning goal. She also recorded the assist on the Ladyjacks other goal. Pabani finished the regular season tied as the league's leading scorer with 34 points. She is currently third in the conference in goals and sixth in assists. The three-goal game was the first hat trick of Pabani's career and only the fifth in school history.
The Ladyjacks will be in Hammond, La., Thursday, for the first round of the Southland Conference Championships. The Ladyjacks received a first-round bye by winning the SLC regular-season title and will open play Friday in the semifinals of the tournament.
