BEAUMONT, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team ousted Lamar, 3-0 (30-23, 30-25, 30-25), Saturday evening at the Montagne Center. With the victory, the Ladyjacks improve to 11-5 (.688) overall and 4-3 (.571) in the Southland Conference.
SFA dominated its second-straight match with an outstanding offensive attack. For the second time in as many days, the Ladyjacks recorded an attack percentage better than .260. The Ladyjacks were led by senior Brittany Burton who finished the night with 16 kills and a .583 attack percentage. Burton also got the job done defensively for SFA recording a match-high five blocks.
The Ladyjacks held Lamar to a .164 attack percentage as the Lady Cardinals fall to 7-12 (.368) overall and 1-8 (.111) in league play.
SFA returns to action Tuesday night when they step away from Southland Conference action to host North Texas. The match against the Lady Eagles is set to begin at 7 p.m.
