
Ladyjacks Cruise Past North Texas

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team recorded 26 blocks in a three-game match to pick up their fourth-straight win. The Ladyjacks defeated North Texas, 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-26). The Ladyjacks are now 12-5 (.706) overall.
SFA dominated the Mean Green with a stellar defensive performance Tuesday night recording 26 blocks and holding UNT to a .079 attack percentage. Senior Brittany Burton was one of three Ladyjacks to record double-figure kills as she finished the night with 11, while hitting .450. She also added five blocks. Freshman Jami Hill and sophomore Laura Cramer each added 10 kills.
Junior Amelia Mayeaux led the Ladyjacks defensively recording a season-high eight blocks. Mayeaux was one of five Ladyjacks to record at least three blocks.
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday night when they take the court against Northwestern State. The match against the Lady Demons is slated to begin at 7 p.m., from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
