SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team got 13 kills from sophomore Laura Cramer as SFA defeated Texas-San Antonio, 3-0 (30-21, 30-24, 31-29), Saturday afternoon in San Antonio. The Ladyjacks are now 19-5 (.792) overall and 11-3 (.786) in Southland Conference play. The Ladyjacks are the hottest team in the conference with an 11-match win streak.
The Ladyjacks got 13 kills from Cramer and 10 from senior Brittany Burton as SFA put the Roadrunners away. Burton also led all players with six blocks. The Ladyjacks received another stellar defensive performance from sophomore Stephanie Figgers as she recorded a match-high 21 digs.
The victory keeps SFA at least in a three-way tie for first in the SLC standings.
The Ladyjacks return to action Tuesday when they travel to Monroe, La., to take on the Lady Indians. The match against ULM is slated to begin at 7 p.m, from Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
