SFA Tennis Closes Out SFA Invite

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team closed out the 2004 SFA Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon at the SFA Tennis Courts. Senior Ashley Johnson continued her strong play as she picked up another singles victory to go along with a doubles win.
Other Ladyjack victories came from sophomore Laura Harrison as she defeated Christine Majchrowicz, 6-3, 6-0, in Flight B singles. Senior Emily Voss defeated teammate Melissa Bass, 6-2, 6-1, in Flight G singles, while sophomore Whitney DeYoung recorded a victory in her bracket.
The Ladyjacks will return to action Friday Oct. 15 at the ITA Regionals in College Station, Texas. The regional tournament will last through Tuesday Oct. 19.
