
Ladyjacks Shutout Southeastern Louisiana

HAMMOND, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team won their ninth-straight match Saturday afternoon as SFA defeated Southeastern Louisiana, 3-0 (30-23, 30-28, 30-28), in Hammond. The Ladyjacks are now 17-5 (.773) overall and 9-3 (.750) in Southland Conference play.
Sophomore Laura Cramer was one of three Ladyjacks to record double-figure kills as she led SFA with 12. She also added 10 digs. Senior Brittany Burton added 11 kills and a team-high four blocks as the Ladyjacks went into the halftime with a 2-0 lead. The third game was a close battle but the Ladyjacks prevailed behind freshman Traci Rohde's 10 kills and two blocks.
Sophomore Stephanie Figgers was one of four players to record double-figure digs, leading the team 25 digs. Senior Deborah Kirkham added 22 digs in the victorious effort.
The Ladyjacks return to action Thursday when they travel to San Marcos, Texas, to face Texas State. The match against the Bobcats is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
