
Ladyjack Earns League Honor

PLANO, Texas - Senior Christie Mestayer was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday afternoon. It is the fifth time this season that a Ladyjack has received the league's weekly honor.
Mestayer led the Ladyjacks with two goals and two assists, including the game-winning goal against McNeese State. For the week, Mestayer scored six points to help SFA push its league-leading record to 7-1-1 (.833) in the Southland Conference. Mestayer currently leads the Ladyjacks with 26 points (nine goals and eight assists).
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday when they travel to Thibodaux, La., to face Nicholls State. The game against the Lady Colonels is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
