NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) - Antonio Burks scored 21 points to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 71-44 win over Texas-Arlington on Saturday.
The win extended the 'Jacks home court winning streak to 24 straight games and moved SFA to 3-2 in Southland Conference play.
Marcus Clark had 13 and Jasen Gast added 11 as the Lumberjacks beat UT-Arlington for the third straight time in Nacogdoches. The Lumberjacks held UT-Arlington to a season low 44 points, the second lowest point total ever for a Maverick team.
SFA took the lead on a three pointer from Burks at the 18:22 mark of the first half and never trailed again building as much as a 29-point lead in the second half of play.
Rodrigo Segantim once again led SFA on the boards with seven rebounds. Hank Rivers and Dedrick Sanders added five each as SFA outrebounded the Mavericks 37-36.
The Lumberjacks return to action Thursday night as they host Sam Houston at 7:00 p.m. on FOX Sports Net.
