SFA Track & Field Opens in Houston, Texas

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team kicks off the 2004 indoor season Friday at the Leonard Hilton Invitational. The meet will take place at the Bill Yeoman Field House on the University of Houston campus. The field events will begin at 2 p.m. with the men's and women's weight throw. The track events will get under way at 3 p.m., with the women's 5,000-meter run followed by the men's 5,000 meters.
Taking a Look at the Ladyjacks & Lumberjacks The Ladyjacks return 18 All-Southland Conference athletes, seven SLC individual champions and three athletes that competed at the NCAA Championships. The Ladyjacks are also the reigning SLC Outdoor Track and Field Champions. The Lumberjacks return 12 All-SLC athletes and three SLC individual champions for the 2004 season.
Up Next... The SFA men's and women's track and field team will be back in action Friday Jan. 30th, with they travel to Baton Rouge, La., to compete in the LSU Invitational.
