NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team dropped a thriller Saturday afternoon to Southeastern Louisiana. The Lady Lions outlasted SFA, 3-2 (30-27, 23-30, 30-27, 27-30, 15-12). The Ladyjacks are now 6-10 on the season and 2-3 in Southland Conference play.
The Ladyjacks had four players record double-figure kills but SFA was hurt by mistakes. SFA recorded 18 service errors and couldn't recover from a .122 attack percentage.
Sophomore Lauren Stevens led SFA with 18 kills. Junior Brittany Burton finished the match with 16 kills (.308 attack percentage), 12 digs and six blocks. Freshman Laura Cramer added 15 kills and seven digs. Sophomore Amelia Mayeaux finished the match with 14 kills and four blocks.
The Lady Lions were led by Ashley Rougeou's 13 kills.
The Ladyjacks return to action Tuesday when they travel to San Marcos, Texas to take on Texas State. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., from Strahan Coliseum.
