SFA Volleyball Falls to New Mexico State

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team fell to 0-2 on the young season. New Mexico State beat SFA Friday night, 3-0 (30-17, 30-14, 30-19).
The Aggies' offensive attack was too much for SFA as New Mexico State recorded 48 kills on 108 attacks with only 11 errors (.343 attack percentage). The Aggies had six players record at least six kills and were led by Abby Stines eight kills.
The Ladyjacks were led by junior Brittany Burton (Livingston, Texas) and sophomore Amelia Mayeaux (League City, Texas) who each recorded seven kills. Mayeaux led the Ladyjacks with a .333 attack percentage.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday when they return to El Paso, Texas, to face the Miners. The match is slated to get underway at 11 a.m.
