Two Ladyjacks Earn Academic All-SLC Honors

PLANO, Texas - Senior Tracy Schupp and junior Blake Gordon were named to the 2003 Track and Field Academic All-Southland Conference team announced league officials Monday morning.
Schupp concluded her senior year by helping lead the Ladyjacks to their first SLC track and field title. Schupp won the conference individual title in the heptathlon by scoring 5,068 points. Schupp's point total was also an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark.
Gordon scored 20 points for the Ladyjacks at the outdoor conference meet by winning the individual title in the discus and shot put. Gordon advanced to the NCAA Championships in the discus where she finished 21st in the nation with a throw of 150-05.
