
Ladyjack Records Top-20 Finish

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack track and field team wrapped up its competition in the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday evening with the women's triple jump.
Sophomore Shametra Boykins recorded a mark of 40-8.25 to finish among the nation's top-20 athletes in the event. Boykins concludes a sophomore campaign that saw her earn All-Southland Conference honors in the indoor and outdoor triple jump and as a member of the women's 4X400-meter outdoor relay team.
Junior Blake Gordon recorded a 21st-place finish in the discus throw Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Ana Rodriguez finished 21st in the 5,000-meter run Wednesday evening.
