NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball team ran its home court winning streak to 20 straight games Tuesday night with an 87-42 win over the Cameron Aggies. SFA (8-2) never trailed in the game and was only tied once when Cameron (5-5) got a three pointer from Marcus Girtmon to knot the score at 3-3 with just over four minutes off the clock.
Dedrick Sanders led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points and was one of only three Lumberjacks to finish the night in double figures. Jasen Gast added 13 and Hank Rivers had 11 for SFA. Rivers picked up his first start of the year in place of Taylor Moore. Sanders also led the 'Jacks with seven rebounds on the night.
Antonio Burks played only 18 minutes in the game and saw his double figure scoring streak stopped at nine straight games as he scored only five points, connecting on only two of seven shots from the field.
SFA ended the game shooting just over 53 percent from the floor while holding Cameron to only 31.3 percent from the field. The 'Jacks shot an even 40 percent from beyond the three point arc (6-15) and went 13 of 18 at the free throw line.
The 'Jacks return to action Saturday playing the final non-conference of the year hosting Lyon College at 4:00 p.m. in the coliseum.
