Two Lumberjacks Prepare for National Meet

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Stephen F. Austin men's cross country team will be represented by seniors Nathan Flores and Mike Thompson at the 2003 NCAA Cross Country Championships Monday. The race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
Thompson is the 2003 SLC Male Athlete of the Year after winning the Southland Conference individual title with a time of 24:57.80. He earned all-region honors for a second consecutive season with a third-place finish (30:17) at the 2003 NCAA South Central Regional Championships.
Flores was the 2002 SLC Male Athlete of the Year and earned all-conference honors this past season with his third-place finish at the SLC Championships. Flores also earned all-region honors with his eighth-place finish at the NCAA South Central Championships.
