Cross Country Prepares for Cowboy Jamboree

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's cross country teams return to action this week at the Cowboy Jamboree. The race will take place Saturday in Stillwater, Okla.
Poll Watching Both Ladyjack and Lumberjack cross country teams enter the Cowboy Jamboree ranked in the South Central Region. The Lumberjacks received 112 points in the poll and are ranked fifth. The Ladyjacks received 36 points and are ranked 12th.
A Look Back... Last season the Lumberjacks finished seventh in Stillwater, led by junior Nathan Flores who finished ninth overall with a time of 24:43. The Lumberjacks return four of their top-five runners from the last season's Cowboy Jamboree. The Ladyjacks were led by Ana Rodriguez, who recorded a 19th-place finish with a time of 18:32.
Next on the Docket... SFA will be back in action Friday Oct. 20th, when they travel to Huntsville, Texas, for the Pre-Conference meet. The race will be hosted by Sam Houston State.
