
Two Ladyjacks Honored By SLC

PLANO, Texas - Sophomore goalkeeper Natascia Michalezki was named Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week and freshman Andrea Ramirez was named SLC Defensive Player of the Week announced league officials Wednesday. It is the fourth time this season Michalezki has won the award.
Michalezki led SFA to back-to-back shutouts against Louisiana-Monroe and Northwestern State. She recorded 10 saves in 180 minutes of action for her third and fourth shutouts of the season. She has recorded a 0.43 goals against average in her last five games and has a 1.52 goals against average on the season. Michalezki hasn't surrendered a goal in her last 246 minutes of action.
Ramirez received league defensive player of the week honors for efforts against ULM and Northwestern State. Ramirez led a defensive unit that didn't allow a goal in the two games and surrendered a total of 14 shots in those two games.
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday against Nicholls State. The game is schedule to begin at 7 p.m., at the SFA Intramural Complex.
