SFA Netters Host Fall Tournament

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team returns to Nacogdoches Saturday and Sunday to host the SFASU Invitational. The invitational is a two-day eight-team event that will begin at 8:30 a.m., Saturday and run through Sunday afternoon. The field consists of Centenary, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, SFA, Southeastern Louisiana, Southwest Texas and Tyler Junior College. All matches are scheduled to be played on the SFA Tennis Courts.
The Ladyjacks are preparing for their second tournament of the 2002 fall season. SFA was in Huntsville, Texas last week at the Sam Houston State Invitational. Sophomore Robin Houston (Shreveport, La.) had a solid outing going 2-1 in singles play. Houston was eliminated in the semifinals of her draw by North Texas' Sandhya Kanury, 6-4, 6-2.
SFA will be in Beaumont, Texas on Friday and Saturday at the Lamar Tournament.
