NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) - Zeke Dixon threw for 282 yards and a touchdown and ran for a fourth-quarter score to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 30-21 win over Southwest Texas on Saturday.
Stephen F. Austin (6-4, 3-2 Southland) trailed 14-7 at halftime, but used a 1-yard touchdown run by Gary Allen and Dixon's 40-yard touchdown pass to Michael David to take a 21-14 lead late in the third quarter.
Southwest Texas (4-6, 1-4) tied the score at 21 on the next possession with a 3-yard touchdown run by Lee Davis. Davis' score capped a 14-play, 91-yard drive that took up almost eight minutes.
Dixon's 3-yard score on Stephen F. Austin's next drive put the Lumberjacks up 27-21, and Clay Gilbert added a 22-yard field goal with 3:38 left to clinch the win.
The Lumberjacks rolled up 416 yards of offense to the Bobcats' 285, but Southwest Texas finished with a 35:45 to 24:15 time-of-possession advantage.
Davis rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries. Cody McCauley went 6-of-11 for just 87 yards with an interception.
