Lumberjack Earns League Recognition

PLANO, Texas - Junior Nathan Flores (Kingwood, Texas) was named Southland Conference runner of the week announced the league office Wednesday. Flores is the first Lumberjack to receive the honor during the 2002 cross country season.
Flores ran a tremendous race at the Auburn Invite in Auburn, Ala., last Saturday. He led the Lumberjacks to a sixth-place finish at the meet with his time of 24:08.65. Flores was seventh overall finisher at the meet, but was fifth among collegiate runners. It was the second consecutive race where Flores was the Lumberjacks top scorer.
The SFA cross country teams will be back in action Monday Nov. 4th, at the Southland Conference Championships in Natchitoches, La.
