Milan Simic Earns Academic All-SLC Basketball Honors

Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball forward Milan Simic has been named to the Southland Conference Academic All-Conference team. Simic, a 6-7 forward from Jagodina, Yugoslavia, wrapped up his playing career with the Lumberjacks this past season.
Simic earned a bachelor's degree in finance this past May, graduating from the university with honors. He is one of 11 Southland Conference men's basketball student-athletes to earn Academic All-Conference honors.
Each student-athlete on the team must have completed at least one full year at his institution and must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
Simic appeared in 18 games for the Lumberjacks this past season, averaging just under two points and one rebound per game. He recorded a season high nine points and seven rebounds in SFA's 95-50 win over Schreiner last December.
