SFA Tennis Falls To Louisiana-Monroe

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana -- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team fell to Louisiana-Monroe 6-1 in their last regular season game before the Southland Conference tennis Tournament.
Senior Meredith Watson (Katy, Tex.) clinched a singles win for the Ladyjacks. In doubles play freshman Jessica Beauchene (Phoenix, AZ.) and senior Ashley Cagle (Nacogdoches, Tex.) defeated Julie Perovic and Anna Yenyk of ULM 8-6. This was the only win in doubles play for SFA.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action April 20-22 in San Antonio, Texas at the 2001 Southland Conference Championship Tournament.
