Multi-Event Student-Athletes Compete At ASU Relays

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack and Lumberjack multi-event student-athletes competed in the 30th Annual Angelo State University Relays in San Angelo, Texas April 10-11. Juniors Tracy Schupp (Hallsville, Tex.) and Matt Seale (Anahuac, Tex.) and sophomore Justin Connell (Troup, Tex.) competed in the meet for SFA.
Tracy Schupp competed in the women's heptathlon and placed second. Schupp accumulated 4,589 points throughout the competition. Schupp participated in the 100M low hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200M dash, long jump, javelin throw and the 800M run.
On the men's side Matt Seale and Justin Connell competed in the decathlon for SFA. Seale placed ninth with 6,137 points. Connell followed in tenth place with 6,004 total points. Both Connell and Seale participated in the 100M dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400M dash, 110 high hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw and 1500M run.
