Ladyjacks Lose to Texas Tech Freshman Kendra Cannon nets her 11th goal of the season
LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team lost to Texas Tech Wednesday night, 6-1, in Lubbock. The Ladyjacks are now 7-5-1 on the season.
Freshman Kendra Cannon (Kilgore, Texas) gave the Ladyjacks an early one-goal advantage when she netted a shot at the two minute mark. Freshman Sarah Johnson (Ft. Worth, Texas) was credited with the assist. But that lead was not enough as the Lady Raiders responded with six unanswered goals.
Senior Elizabeth Evatt (Plano, Texas) recorded 10 saves in just under 80 minutes of action. Freshman Jillian Hazel (New Braunfels, Texas) finished the match recording two saves and surrendering one goal.
The next match for the Ladyjacks will be Monday in San Marcos, Texas, against Southwest Texas. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
