NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team ran over the University of Hawaii, 2-0, at Homer Bryce Stadium.
Freshman Kendra Cannon (Kilgore, Texas) scored both goals for the Ladyjacks. Her first goal was assisted by junior Kim Elger (Midland, Texas) and the second was unassisted.
Senior Elizabeth Evatt (Plano, Texas) had a great match with six saves, in the second half she had five saves, two of which were key at point blank range.
Sophomore Allison Lawrence ( Kingwood, Texas) led the team with three shots during the match.
"This is probably the biggest win in the program's history," said Head Coach Lance Noble. "We just came out tonight and played, more so we fought for this win. Hawaii has four loses, and three of those are to top 25 nationally ranked teams."
The Ladyjacks will be on the road on Wednesday to take on Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas at 7:00 p.m. SFA will be home again on Wednesday ,October 24th to battle the McNeese Cowgirls at 7:00 p.m. in Homer Bryce Stadium. Admission is free.
