Keys Named SLC Track Athlete Of The Week

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin State University hurdler, Scott Keys has been named the Southland Conference Athlete of the Week.
Keys, a senior from Houston, received this honor after attending the Houston Invitational Saturday, May 6. With a stunning performance in the 110M hurdles, Keys finished in first place with a time of 14.14. This was a personal best this season for Keys. Keys also moved into second place this week on the Southland Conference personal bests list in the 110M hurdles. This season alone, Keys has had seven out of seven top five finishes in the 110M hurdles.
The track and field team will be back in action May 14-16 in Natchitoches, Louisiana as Northwestern State hosts the 2000 Southland Conference Outdoor Championship Meet. A complete schedule of events can be found on the Southland Conference web page at: www.southland.org.
