
SFA Defeats Team Ezybonds 71-60

Sophomore Edwin Tatum led the Lumberjacks Tuesday night with 22 points in a 71-60 win over Team Ezybonds of Australia in the final exhibition game of the season for the 'Jacks.
Tatum and Ron Banks, who had 14 points, were the only Lumberjack players to score in double figures. Ben Hunt led the Australians with 20 points.
SFA outrebounded Ezybonds 36-27, with 11 offensive rebounds on the night. Ron Banks, Emanuel Jackson and Kevin Daniels had five rebounds each for coach Danny Kaspar. Nine different Lumberjack players had at least three rebounds each.
The Lumberjacks shot 46% from the floor in the contest and connected on 83% of their free throw attempts. The SFA defense also held Ezybonds to just under 40% from the field.
The Lumberjacks open the regualr season Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. when they play host to Loyola University Chicago in the Coliseum.
