Cross Country Competes At The South Central Regional Meet

DENTON, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University cross country team competed at the 2000 NCAA South Central Regionals in Denton, Texas Saturday, November 11. The SFA took a full men's team consisting of Nathan Flores, Justin Meier, Daniel Bledsoe, Trenton Hall and Rhett Hansen. Ana Gonzalez and Ana Rodriguez represented the women's side for SFA. The men ran a 10K race, while the women ran a 6K race.
Freshman Nathan Flores and junior Daniel Bledsoe finished first for the Lumberjacks. Flores completed the race 23 with a time of 32:09.73. Bledsoe finished 29 with a time of 32:24.87. The winning time was 30:46.19 by Eluid Njubi, a junior, from Texas Christian University. Flores was one of the top five finishers for the Southland Conference. The SFA men's team placed 10 overall out of 17 teams.
