Current Duties/Responsibilities:
As Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services, Margarita provides strategic leadership for academic support services within SFA Athletics. She oversees academic programming, eligibility monitoring, and student-athlete success initiatives while serving as the primary academic advisor for Football and providing academic oversight for Ladyjack Golf and Tennis. Through collaboration with coaches, faculty, and campus partners, she helps develop and implement programs that promote academic achievement, retention, and graduation success among student-athletes.

A Tucson, Arizona native, Margarita began her professional career at Stephen F. Austin in 2020 as a Graduate Assistant Softball Coach before transitioning into athletic administration as an Athletic Administrative Graduate Assistant. Following her time at SFA, she served as a McLendon Fellow at Oklahoma State University, Student-Athlete Development Coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Senior Football Academic Coordinator at the University of Texas at San Antonio before returning to SFA in September 2025 as Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services.
In her current role, Margarita oversees academic support services for Football while also providing academic oversight for Ladyjack Golf and Tennis. She is committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence and helping student-athletes develop the skills necessary to succeed both during and after their collegiate careers.
A former student-athlete at both Stephen F. Austin and Pima Community College, Margarita was a four-year letter winner at Tucson High Magnet School and earned All-American honors during her collegiate career. Her experiences as a student-athlete continue to shape her passion for supporting and advocating for the academic, personal, and professional development of student-athletes. Margarita is engaged to Kentell Wilson and is proud to have returned to SFA, where her professional journey began.
