High School | Few in the state compiled a volleyball résumé as extensive as Torres through her prep career at Dawson High School...Collected four varsity letters under head coach Jason Karim, suiting up as a defensive specialist before switching to libero for her final prep campaign...At the conclusion of her high school career, had collected a TAVC All-State (senior) selection as well as an additional TGCA All-State (senior) nod...Picked as GHVCA Defensive Player of the Year (senior) as well as District Defensive Player of the Year (senior) honors to go along with her trio of First Team All-District (sophomore, junior, senior) awards...Led DHS on a run to the regional semifinals of the UIL 6A tournament where the Eagles finished their 2017 season with a 31-4 record...DHS finished the 2017 season ranked ninth in the state and did not lose a district match (24-0) throughout her final two seasons of play...A standout in the classroom as well, collected a pair of Academic All-District citations which complimented her status as a TGCA Academic All-State choice...Also played club volleyball for Absolute Volleyball Academy.
