Madi Wilkerson announced December 4th, 2023 that Rachel Calderón has been named Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach for the Ladyjacks.

"Rachel is going to be a significant addition to SFA Beach Volleyball, said Head Coach, Madi Wilkerson, "Her experience, integrity and overall character will fit perfectly with the programs core values. I'm beyond excited to welcome her to the Piney Woods!"

Calderón is ready to get started, "I am excited for this new opportunity to work with Madi Wilkerson and the SFA Ladyjack Beach Volleyball program. Madi has a great vision for this program and I am looking forward to contributing to this team."

Calderón was previously the head coach for the women's and men's beach volleyball programs at Erskine College (NCAA DII) in Due West, South Carolina. She started the women's program in 2019 and the men's program in 2022 and has a record of 24-35 as the women's beach volleyball coach. Calderón played for two years at Philadelphia Biblical University (now called Cairn University; NCAA DIII) in Pennsylvania. She recorded 555 kills and 809 digs in 71 matches as an outside hitter in her time at PBU.
