Personal: Gavin is the son of Kristen and Jason Rutherford and is the brother to Riley Rutherford (sister). His sister Riley plays softball at Nicholls. Gavin was named the Katy ISD Male Athlete of the year and was the district MVP his senior year. In his junior campaign he was named the district offensive player of the year and was also named the newcomer of the year in his sophomore year. During his time at SFA, Gavin will pursue a degree in business.
