Hayden Wall enters his second season working with the SFA football program as an offensive assistant, working closely with offensive line coach Nathan Young. A former recruit of coach Young at fellow Southland Conference member Abilene Christian, Wall was a three-year letter winner (2014-16) for Young in Abilene.
Among Walls’ duties are reviewing game film, assisting with offensive game plans and coordinating operations for the Lumberjack football team.
Bringing plenty of football knowledge to Nacogdoches, Wall began working with SFA’s offense in the summer of 2018. Prior to arriving in Texas’ oldest town, Wall was a graduate assistant at Angelo State where he worked with the Rams’ tight ends during the 2017 season.
Wall played in 24 games on the Wildcats’ offensive line following his redshirt year as a true freshman in 2013. He played his prep career at Hallsville High School and was a 14-4A All-District First Team selection in both 2011 and 2012, helping lead the Bobcats to a 7-4 record, third-place district finish and playoff appearance as a senior. Wall claimed All-East Texas first-team accolades in 2012 and was an All-East Texas second-team performer in 2011.
He is a native of Longview, Texas, and currently resides in Nacogdoches.
