Golf Wraps Up Play at Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team wrapped up play at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge. The Lumberjacks finished 18th out of 19 teams across three rounds from April 6-8.
DAY ONE
SFA opened the tournament strong, with all four Lumberjacks recording pars on holes one through three and tallying one early birdie. Taryn Clayton led the way on the front nine, finishing at even par. Clayton and Avree Fields each carded three birdies, accounting for six of the team's seven total birdies in round one. Celine Aramsatjakool highlighted the day with a nine-hole stretch of pars, closing the round at five-over par.
DAY TWO
Play resumed in round two with Aramsatjakool closing her round with four consecutive pars, while Fields added a birdie on hole 18. Aramsatjakool led the Lumberjacks with a +7 round, followed closely by Fields at +8.
DAY THREE
The Lumberjacks recorded three birdies in the final round, coming from Marley Dickens and Fields. Dickens added a steady stretch of six straight pars following her birdie. Dickens and Aramsatjakool each posted rounds of +6, with Aramsatjakool finishing tied for 52nd overall in the tournament, leading SFA.

SFA will close out its season competing at the Southland Golf Tournament, starting on Monday, April 13, in San Marcos.
