
Lumberjacks Wrap Up Southland Tournament in San Marcos

Fields delivers steady performance as SFA completes three-day tournament
SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team competed in the Southland Conference Tournament at Kissing Tree Golf Club, finishing seventh overall. The three-day event began Monday, April 13, and concluded Wednesday, April 15.
DAY ONE
Avree Fields led the way for the Lumberjacks with an impressive opening round, shooting even par across 18 holes. Fields recorded 18 consecutive pars and ended the day tied for third place. Celine Aramsatjakool finished her round at +6, highlighted by a birdie on the 17th hole, placing her in 28th. Marley Dickens and Taryn Clayton each added a birdie of their own, with Dickens finishing at +10 and Clayton at +12.
DAY TWO
Fields continued her strong performance into round two, recording five birdies on the back nine. She closed with three straight birdies on holes 16, 17, and 18, adding two more on holes 12 and 14 to finish the round at +1, as she moved into a tie for fifth place overall. Aramsatjakool, Dickens, and Clayton each recorded a birdie during the second round. Aramsatjakool and Clayton also strung together three consecutive pars during their rounds. Aramsatjakool finished at +9, Clayton at +14, and Dickens at +17.
DAY THREE
Taryn Clayton paced SFA in the final round, opening with four straight pars before a birdie pushed her under par early. She closed strong with six consecutive pars to finish at +5 for the day. Fields and Dickens each posted rounds of +7, with Fields concluding the tournament at +8 overall. Dickens, Clayton, and Aramsatjakool each recorded a birdie in the final round, with Aramsatjakool finishing at +12 on the day.
