Ladyjacks Pass Century Mark as SFA Rolls Past UNO

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball program returned home for a Thursday night matchup against the New Orleans Privateers.
UNO jumped out to an early 8-2 lead with 7:09 left in the first. Both teams traded blows until a three-pointer from Kaylinn Kemp with 3:16 to go tied the game up at 13. With 2:05 left in the first quarter, SFA kicked it into another gear as the Ladyjacks finished the first quarter on a 11-2 run that included three three-pointers, two from Ashlyn Traylor-Walker and one from Lydia Cajuste. The Ladyjacks went into the first quarter break with a
Cajuste and Traylor-Walker continued their streak by scoring the first two baskets of the second quarter, 29-19 with 8:38 left. Two minutes later, the Ladyjacks put the pedal to the metal as SFA went on an incredible 18-5 run to end the first half and head into the locker room with a commanding 22-point lead, 51-29.
The third quarter was more of a back-and-forth affair. After SFA began the third quarter with an 8-2 run, both teams traded three and four-point runs. The Ladyjacks ended the third with back-to-back three-pointers from Cajuste and Harmanie Dominguez who was honored for surpassing 1,500 career points and 300 career three-pointers before the game. SFA went into the fourth with a 74-42 lead.
Both teams traded blows throughout the fourth quarter, but SFA was able to continue to pull away from UNO and passed the century mark with 14 seconds left off a three-pointer from Traylor-Walker and secured a 37-point victory, 101-64.

• The 101 points scored today are the most SFA has scored in a game this season.
• Key Roseby and Ashlyn Traylor-Walker each scored 23 points which ties Traylor-Walker's season high.
• Traylor-Walker tied her career high with five made three-pointers.
• Cha Gardner recorded her fourth double-double this season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
• Five Ladyjacks recorded a block with Aziyah Farrier leading the team with three.
