SFA Travels to South Texas for Matchups Against TAMU-CC and UTRGV

Ladyjacks set to face the Islanders Thursday night and the Vaqueros Saturday afternoon.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball program will hit the road to South Texas for their next two matches.
WHERE TO WATCH
• Both games will be broadcasted on ESPN+ and Cade Haak will be on the call on Q107.
LAST TIME OUT
• SFA split the season series with Lamar with each team winning on their home court.
• Lydia Cajuste followed in her husband's steps with her game winner as AJ won SFA Men's Basketball's first round matchup against ACU in the 2024 WAC Tournament.
• Kaylinn Kemp led the team with 17 points, four assists and was second on the team with seven rebounds.
• Key Roseby led the Ladyjacks with nine boards.
• Cha Gardner recorded two blocks against the Cardinals.
• Three Ladyjacks were perfect from the free throw line and Cajuste was a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc.
SCOUTING TAMU-CC
• The Islanders come into this matchup with a 4-18 overall record and a 3-12 record in conference play.
• Marissa Shelton leads the team with 205 points and is the only Islander with over 200 points scored this season.
• K'Nari Holliday has recorded 134 boards this season to lead the team.
• Chelsea Wooten is the facilitator for TAMU-CC as she has dished out 73 assists. She also leads the team with 26 steals.
• Former Ladyjack, Trinity Slocum follows Wooten with 66 assists.
SCOUTING UTRGV
• The Vaqueros enter this week with a 15-9 overall record and a 12-3 record in conference play.
• Jalayah Ingram leads UTRGV with a staggering 383 points (17.4 per game) this season which ranks her second in the conference. She also leads the team with 81 assists this season.
• Charlotte O'Keefe leads the team with 245 rebounds and holds the conference lead by almost 70 rebounds. She is the career blocks and rebounds leader at UTRGV and is the first 1,000 career rebounder in program history.
• O'Keefe leads the Vaqueros in blocks with 32, but trails SFA's Aziyah Farrier by 12 blocks for the conference lead.
• Ingram leads the team with 38 steals followed by O'Keefe who has 30 steals.

• SFA holds a 26-4 series lead with a 11-2 record in Corpus Christi. The Ladyjacks are looking for a season sweep of the Islanders as SFA defeated TAMU-CC at home on December 17, 84-62.
• SFA holds a 12-5 series lead over UTRGV and has a 3-3 record in Edinburg. The Ladyjacks are looking to split the season series after the Vaqueros defeated the Ladyjacks at home on December 15, 87-85.
MONEY MANIE
• After recording the second most three-pointers in a single season at SFA with 89, Harmanie Dominguez continues to be one of the most prolific shooters from beyond the arc. Dominguez currently has 157 career three-pointers at SFA and is 12 away from passing Kirby Killingsworth for fourth All-Time
• In the Jan. 29 matchup against McNeese, Dominguez made four three-pointers to pass Chanell Hayes and Britany Vinson to tie Brentney Branch for 5th All-Time with 153 three-pointers.
• Against New Orleans, Dominguez recorded four three-pointers which officially put her 8th All-Time, passing Stephanie Whitmore.
• In the game against HCU, Dominguez passed Katrina Price for 9th in three-pointers made at SFA.
• With her second three-pointer against East Texas A&M, Dominguez passed current teammate Avery Vansickle for the 10th most made three-pointers by a Ladyjack with 127.
• She also drained her 300th career three-pointer against the Lady Lions of SLU.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
• Harmanie Dominguez is 17th in the nation with 2.88 three pointers per game, she is also 20th nationally in made three-pointers with 69.
• Kaylinn Kemp is 20th nationally and 1st in the conference with 5.5 assists per game and 21st nationally with 132 assists. She is also 47th nationally with an 85.9 free throw percentage.
• Aziyah Farrier is 29th nationally and 1st in the conference with 1.83 blocks per game. She also currently leads the conference and ranked 27th nationally with 44 blocks this season.
HIGH FLYING OFFENSE
• The Ladyjacks had a three-game streak of scoring at least 85 points which is the first time this has happened since a seven-game streak during the 2020-21 season.
• SFA averages 74.8 points per game which leads the conference which is five points more than second place McNeese. In terms of total points, the Ladyjacks have scored 140 more points than the Cowgirls.
• Three Ladyjacks are ranked in the top 10 in the Southland in points and points per game.
• SFA has two that have scored over 300 points this season and are currently the only team wot have multiple 300-point scorers.
