SFA Gains Ground in Latest FCS National Rankings

'Jacks collect a handful more votes in both AFCA, Stats Perform rankings
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin football gained ground in the latest release of both national FCS polls on Monday morning. The Lumberjacks are among teams receiving votes in each poll, but saw their total number of votes in both rankings increase from the previous week. SFA earned nine points (+3) in the AFCA FCS Top 25 Coaches Poll and recorded 39 points (+17) in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings.
SFA is among four Southland Conference teams receiving votes in the AFCA rankings, while UIW is the lone SLC team ranked in the coaches poll as the Cardinals are hanging on at #24 nationally. Lamar finds a spot inside the Stats Perform Top 25 at #22 nationally. SFA and UIW are the lone teams receiving votes in the media poll.
